For example, if youโre hankering for a taste of southern India, look no further than Shilpa, which is based on King Street โ just up the road from the Kingโs Mall Shopping Centre. This award-winning establishment specialises in Kerala dishes and offers a menu capable of more than satisfying anyone with a love for the exotic spices and flavours of the region.
If you want to try somewhere a bit more kitsch, then the Mes Amis Lebanese restaurant comes highly recommended. Described by Conde Nast Traveller as one of Londonโs most unusual eateries, this venue has all sorts of trinkets displayed on every available surface, leaving it with a fantastically-eccentric atmosphere.
The menu itself is as authentic as it comes, offering everything from delicious mezes and mouth-watering kebabs to Lebanese wines. Find it on Rainville Road.
Finally, if you fancy a real British gastropub experience, then head on down to the Cumberland Arms on North End Road. Diners can choose from some delightful samplings from a Mediterranean-styled menu, which changes every month โ so you can even plan to return on future visits and find something new!
The relaxed atmosphere provides a perfect location for you to unwind after a day of hard work, while you can also try out some of the real ales behind the bar if youโre so inclined.
